A Singer-Blogger-Data analyst, Lisa Mishra is the self taught singer who became a Bollywood sensation overnight, when actress Sonam Kapoor reposted a video of Lisa mashing up ‘Tarefaan’ from ‘Veere Di Wedding’.
Her attempt at a mash-up of ‘Let me love you’ by DJ Snake featuring Justin Bieber, amassed her a huge fan following on Instagram with over 200K + followers.
One thing led to another and within a wink of an eye she was in the heart of Bollywood, recording the ‘Tareefan’ reprise version, a week before the movie's release.
She also lent vocals to what ultimately became the multiple Grammy-winning album ‘Coloring Book’ by Chance the Rapper.
Lisa has also frequently performed on campus from the ‘Hansen Student Center’ to the ‘Eckley Quad’ and was a winner of ‘IWU's biannual Undercover’ music competition.
She also collaborated with composer-singer Vishal Mishra on Sajna Ve and Mishra has also sung on ‘Running Back To You’, an uptempo dance/house record by Goa based producer and DJ Anish Sood released in 2020.
She has also collaborated with Jamila Woods on the soundtrack for the popular web series ‘Brown Girls’.
